What pool remodeling costs in the East Valley
There is no single published price for pool remodeling in this guide, because no listed company publishes a fixed remodel price on its own website. Everything below explains what drives a quote, so you can compare written quotes on the same basis. Every dollar figure on this page is a range or a starting price found on a company's own site, labeled as such. None of them is a company price, and none of them is a quote for your pool.

Published ranges and one starting price (labeled, not prices)
- We Fix Ugly Pools: most of its 2026 remodels between $12,000 and $20,000; resurfacing with new tile generally $8,000 to $15,000; larger renovations with features, equipment or decking $15,000 to $30,000 or more. Ranges, not fixed prices.
- DesertScape Pool & Spa: budget range $15K to $60K+, with a typical timeline of 4 to 8 weeks. A range, not a fixed price.
- Swimming Pool Service & Repair: remodeling in general $15,000 to $65,000 by tier; basic remodel (resurface, tile, coping) $15,000 to $25,000; mid-range with equipment, lighting and deck $25,000 to $45,000; full renovation $45,000 to $65,000 or more; resurface-only $6,500 to $15,000. Ranges, not fixed prices.
- Verdugo & Son Pool Repair: many average-size resurfacing projects around $7,000 to $10,500, as general planning guidance on its own site, not a quote. A range, not a fixed price.
- Above & Beyond Pools, Remodeling, & Landscapes: homeowners can expect to invest anywhere from $20,000 to $60,000, with minor updates at the lower end and full remodels at the higher end. A range, not a fixed price.
- American Heritage Pool Co.: pebble resurfacing with new waterline tile starting at $8,900 for a play pool up to 80 feet of perimeter. A starting price for that exact scope, never a fixed remodel price.
- Innovative Custom Pools: remodels typically start in the mid-to-high five figures, a vague range on its own site, not a price.
- Every other company in this guide publishes no dollar figures for remodeling at all.
New-pool figures are deliberately not quoted here: consultation-form bands, new-build financing, new-pool packages and financing terms found on company sites are not remodel prices, and quoting them as remodel prices would mislead. If a company gives you a figure, ask whether it is a firm written quote for your exact scope or only an estimate.
What drives a pool remodel quote
- Scope: resurfacing only, or a full remodel with tile, coping, decking, equipment and features.
- Finish type: plaster, quartz, mini pebble or pebble, and the condition of the existing surface and shell.
- Tile and coping: waterline tile replacement, coping material, and whether the bond beam needs work.
- Pool size and shape: perimeter, surface area, depth changes, steps, benches, Baja shelf or spa additions.
- Decking: cool deck repair, travertine, pavers or a full deck replacement, and access for materials.
- Equipment: pumps, filters, heaters, automation, lighting and salt systems, new or repaired.
- Drain, refill and startup: how draining, refilling, chemical balancing and plaster startup are handled.
- Warranty: finish warranty versus labor warranty, how long each lasts, and what maintenance it requires.
What a written quote should itemize
- Exact scope: finish type, tile, coping, decking, equipment, plumbing, features and warranty terms.
- How the price is calculated: what is measured, and what happens if the shell condition or the scope changes once work starts.
- Who does the work: the company's own crew or subcontractors, and what happens if conditions found during the work change the scope.
- Timeline: how long the work takes, including drain, cure and refill time, and what disruption to expect.
- Total price and what would change it: deeper shell repairs, added features, equipment upgrades or deck work.
Ask every company the same questions and compare itemized quotes, not headline figures. The quote-questions checklist on the Get quotes page is built for exactly that comparison.
